What is a bangle bracelet?
A bangle is a rigid bracelet, round or oval, without links. A closed bangle slips over the hand, an open bangle opens up to wrap around the wrist. The Sunset bracelets, for example, are open bangles fitted with a spring closure. An open bangle adjusts more easily to a slim wrist, a closed bangle is chosen to fit the width of the hand. Either one is worn high or low on the forearm depending on its diameter.
Acetate bangle or 925 sterling silver bangle?
Acetate dominates the collection. Light and colorful, it makes chunky bangles that do not weigh on the wrist, like the Luna bracelets, in gold-tone steel and acetate, or the Yeva, Nami and Lucy bangle bracelets. The Sunset bracelets are in gold-plated, lacquered brass, with a glossy finish. For a more classic piece, a dozen bangles are in 925 sterling silver, like the Viau bangle bracelet, a slightly flattened oval, or the Hallier bangle bracelet, made of a flexible oval tube 5 mm wide, more supple than a solid bangle. They are gathered in our 925 sterling silver bangles.
Which bangle color should you choose?
A colored bangle is chosen like a scarf, according to the outfit it goes with. For a brown bangle, the brown Luna bracelet stays a true brown, the Luna choco leans toward chocolate, while the Luna nude stays very soft. For a blue bangle, the Yeva bangle bracelet in blue acetate and the sky blue Sunset bracelet fit the bill. The greens range from khaki to English green, the reds go as far as carmine. The white, yellow, pink, fuchsia and light gray of the Sunset bracelets complete the palette. Other shades await you among our acetate and enamel bangles.
How do you wear and stack bangles?
A single bangle is worn close to the hand, on a bare wrist or next to a watch. With several, play on the contrast of materials, a slim 925 sterling silver bangle between two acetate bangles, or stay within one color family. Open bangles stack easily since they go on one at a time. A women's watch with a slim case fits nicely in the middle of such a set. The Seventies Patricia and Géraldine bangle bracelets, for their part, recall the spirit of the 70s.
How do you care for a bangle?
Acetate is cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then dried right away. The 925 sterling silver bangles gradually tarnish on contact with air, so store them separately to avoid scratches. The silver care guide explains the steps to restore their shine.
